Passing Time

I'm on a break. Timepass wasting away in front of my comp. Enjoying the weather, the newspapers. Not checking for suicides, murders, burglaries or beauty parlour inaugarations by nymphets.

Thirteen, thrilled

I am thrilled. I now have a dual monitor setup. The monitor on the right, a 15inch Samsung was my original display. Last week I got myself a 17inch Philips, on the left. Today I purchased a S3 Virge 4mb V Ram PCI card. Fixed it on my mother board ( I have an onboard AGP slot for my primary video display), and changed the primary video display form AGP to PCI in the BIOS. It worked!

The entire exercise cost me Rs.200/- (approx 4.6USD) , if I had gone the usual way and got a dual head video card, like say a Matrox 32mb DDR AGP dual head video card, I'd have spent something like Rs 6000 !

nine out of ten, first cut is the deepest

You know I’m so happy my heart actually sings.

<>
He records a cassette for her. These are still cassette days. <>

She listens to it on the bus/ travelling in the tube/ she clips her toe nails / she makes a lamp shade with coloured paper;draws fishes on it,looks at it and smiles/bicycles about in the farmhouse, topples off balance, falls on her face/ bandaged chin, dances with a cigarette dangling in one hand in front of a half open window framed from outside/ she runs upto the terrace, climbs onto the water tank and lies on it,hidden from the world, the skies spread in front of her / She goes through her old photograph album-unsticks a childhood photo of herself-chubby and smily wearing little frock with little finger in mouth/ other montage situations depicting nascent love. <>

The camera stays on her face as we see her on a U special type bus with the omnipresent walkman ,shy as the song shimmers in her head. She looks into cam ahead passively for some long seconds and then starts humming along with the crescendo, then smiles and turns around/We sharp cut to her reverse angle/Keya’s POV- Through heads, we see Jeeshu standing at the back of the bus in an late afternoon shaft –looking at her and smiling shyly. We stay on Keya as she turns and steadicams towards the door. The bus stops and she gets off . Jeeshu keeps looking through the back as the bus starts moving. We see Keya on the road looking at him through the back. She keeps getting distant as the bus moves on. Suddenly Jeeshu pushes through the crowd ,rushes towards the back door and literally jumps out. Camera staggers and then trollies towards keya who looks upon lovingly and crosses her arms with a mock harrumph. <>

The song remains the same.

will this film ever be? ...thanks keeda

after eight

Street photography fascinates me, always. The game is to be patient, and have a sense of the 'moment'. Walking the streets, all day, waiting, observing, waiting. Recognizing a photo about to happen, being prepared for it. Pressing the shutter at the precise moment. I really do feel street photography is a brilliant excercise for a photographer. The rewards are rare but gives a tremendous sense of satisfaction. The images on this site have kept me engrossed for hours. It inspires me to go out there and shoot. It makes me desire freedom, the freedom to roam the city, aimless, waiting, camera in hand.

six, just in case

thank you mr.yamamoto , what an incredible idea.

chat dot five

Sups_Koolgal and Saurav_Piosoft. Two characters in a chat room. Not quite oblivious to the din around them, yet unfettered enough to discuss each others 'age', 'height', 'complexion', 'figure' ... proclaiming 'love' at the end of every second line. The exchange email id's - sups_koolgal at yahoo dot co dot in , similarly saurav. i managed to break their conversation with sustained chatter, sups_koolgal just could not ignore me any more. with every exchange sups_koolgal made with me, saurav_piosoft got increasingly flustered. i didn't bother them for too long, went my way in a while. I did apologise to sups_koolgal. she said i was a funny guy, i said she sounded cute. she wondered if we will meet again. its been eight hours now, the night has passed. as i log in again, i'm wondering the same.
